The RAG-Stiftung has set up a whistleblower system for which it has appointed an ombudsman (panel solicitor) for the whistleblowers:

The ombudsman validates any reports he receives and forwards them to the compliance officer of the RAG-Stiftung for investigation. Whistleblowers who contact the ombudsman by e-mail are sent an electronic confirmation that their report has been received. This confirmation is transmitted to the address from which the report was sent.

The ombudsman treats all of the reports that he receives as well as the whistleblowers’ identities (in the case of non-anonymous reports) as absolutely confidential in his dealings with the RAG-Stiftung.

In addition, the RAG-Stiftung has declared to the ombudsman that it legally commits to do everything it can to prevent whistleblowers from suffering any disadvantage due to their having contacted the ombudsman. This also applies in particular to cases in which a thorough investigation of the reports received shows that they were submitted in good faith but ultimately proved to be unfounded.
