Extension of the contracts of Bernd Tönjes and Bärbel Bergerhoff-Wodopia on the RAG-Stiftung Board of Executives

Essen/Berlin, 5 April 2022. Bernd Tönjes, the Chairman of the Board of Executives of the RAG-Stiftung, and Bärbel Bergerhoff-Wodopia, a member of the RAG-Stiftung Board of Executives, were each appointed to a further term of office by a unanimous vote at the regular meeting of the foundation’s Board of Trustees in Berlin.

Bernd Tönjes was once again appointed Chairman of the foundation’s Board of Executives after a successful four years in his first term of office. He had taken over this position from his predecessor, Dr. Werner Müller, in May 2018. His next term of office will begin on 24 May 2023 and run for five years.

Bärbel Bergerhoff-Wodopia has been a RAG-Stiftung Board of Executives member since December 2012. She is responsible for human resources as well as supporting education, science and culture. After a successful term of office lasting more than nine years, her contract was extended for another five years, beginning on 1 December 2022.
